WWII Signal Corps Radio Crystal Box Steel With Two Compartments (Case CS-137)

WWII Signal Corps Radio Crystal Box Steel With Two Compartments (Case CS-137)

60.00

A very solid steel box probably carried in WWII by a Signal Corposman from the collection of the late George Kelly who was stationed at Ft. Lee, VA and served in Korea (photo attached). Dimensions of the box are 3" x 4.25" x 11" making it an unusual and interesting size. Use it for storing valuables, as a tackle box, or for sensitive tools. Feels very secure and of a very heavy gauge. High quality piece in a hard to find. Acquired in Virginia. Great and honest patina on this one. Handle for carrying. Tag affixed for Signal Corps Case CS-137. Made in Philadelphia.

Box is in as found condition and could benefit from additional cleaning. There are residuals fro the padding material that was affixed to the inside of the box that could be removed with steel wool etc. Latches are very secure and tough.
