Elaborate Russian cast sterling silver milk pitcher and sugar bowl. Pitcher is of a two piece construction with applied cast feet and handles. Hammer marks inside pitcher where it was shaped show the hand finished nature of these items. Extremely heavy gauge. No monograms, repairs, damage, and surface is glossy.

The maker of this set is Hempel Brothers of Warsaw, Russia: Bracia Hempel (Fabryka Platerów i Sreber Bracia Hempel) Władysław Hempel. Marked with the Br. Hempel mark alongside their crescent moon mark. No silver standard mark is present which suggests it was made right around 1894-5.

Professionally tested with XRF at 93% silver.
