1780-1800 Paul Sayre of Southampton New York Silver Teaspoon Partial Set (3) - American Federal Silver

This spoon set features sleek design with an elegant engraved period monogram 'NEC' on the handle. Made by the New York silversmith, Paul Sayre. Each is well marked for Paul Sayre (‘P. SAYRE’). Patina and satin finish are perfect and not overpolished. Very conservatively, there are typical signs of use commensurate with age, subtle areas of dark patina, wear to some marks, and surface scratches. Pieces by Sayre are exceedingly scarce
