An 1809-1819 confiturier made in Paris, by Jean-Pierre-Nicolas Bibron, with an ovoid body decorated with annular beaded band and raised on three curved legs ending in lion's paw feet and starting with female visages. Palmette-crested rim. Condition is good a couple of small cracks in the silver. Crab mark and cockerel mark as well as Bibron maker mark. Recently recovered from a Chicago-area estate (Ex-Richard Fill collection).
