A fine 1820 sterling silver half pint christening cup by John Belknap Jones of Boston made of coin silver. This was given from EB to ESB (possibly father to son). Handsome with a plain stepped foot and rim. Handle is cast of two pieces. Overall condition is very good and commensurate with age and use (i.e., a couple of small bruises). Stamped 'J. B. Jones.' and 'PURE COIN'. Cup holds 8 ounces. Beautifully handmade.
