1850 Large American Coin Silver Wine Goblet - Cup or Chalice Chinoiserie (226 grams)(16 ounces)

A stellar 19th century American coin silver wine goblet or presentation cup with exquisite Chinoiserie scenes set in repousse. This goblet features a three-master ship, nesting birds, and a pastoral village scene. Hand chasing and engraving richly adorns the cup at every turn as well as handsome grape boughs and leaves in a ring around the plain foot. The engraving work is incredibly fine, detailed, and beautiful. Hallmarks are absent. Overall condition is near mint with no significant dents, scratches or other signs of use. Cup stands straight. Age appropriate patina. Light surface scratches as you might expect from a wine cup of this age. This one goes right to the head of the table.

Dimensions 6.75" tall x 3.75" wide at the rim. Base is just shy of 3.25".
