An extremely rare and important tetsubin form teapot and sugar ca 1885-1900 by Alphonse Debain. These items feature chrysanthemum and crane pattern that have been acid etched into the surface. Classic Japanese wicker form handles. The overall shape is daring, extreme, eye-catching. Condition is good. A few small dings. Top for sugar is not original. Marked for Alphonse Debain and also with the French-made Mercury export mark for 950 silver

Weight: About 650 grams all inclusive.
Dimensions (teapot): 2.75” tall x 6” wide 6.5” wide at spout.
