1891 Sterling Silver Gorham Large Sugar or Covered Tureen

This is an absolutely gorgeous 1891 Gorham sterling silver fluted Queen Anne style covered tureen or very large sugar. All handmade with lots of hammer marks inside. On four ball feet. Stamped in four places for Gorham (rubbed), 1891 (star mark), STERLING, and '420' which. is the catalogue number. The handles have square shoulders and terminate in delightful figural lion paws at the body. Beaded rim and an elegant rectangular knob. Condition is near mint with a very small dint in one side that could be easily repaired. Lid fits well but rests and isn't tight fitting. Should be great for serving, but could also be used for sugar if you are looking for a very large sugar bowl
