18th Century Undecorated Carved Bone Corset Busk - Letter Opener

An undecorated 18th century hand carved busk made to slip inside a woman’s corset to provide the rigidity of the form. This one is 7” with tapered ends. A fleabite is noted on one end, partially repaired. Typical internal structural fracturing caused by centuries of exposure is typical. Would make a nice letter opener.
