Spectacular hand wrought solid silver bread basket in very good condition. Impressive repousse (then hand chased and etched) with scrolling floral motif around the rim and festooning down toward the platter which has a beautiful hammered appearance.
This item is perfectly sized to accommodate bread, but could be lovely on a console all by itself as decor. Versatile.
Condition is outstanding with minor scuffs at the bottom from use. No bends, cracks, dings, or other apparent damage. Finish is brilliant. Listing is for tray only. Other items sold separately. Stamped with a very small 800 (80% silver) and maker (SIH / HIS) on the obverse.
