Cambodian Solid Silver Lidded Cigarette Box with Wood Inset

$200.00
Offered is a silver Cambodian lidded box, probably made for cigarettes in the 1960s. The interior is wood lined, and the wood lining is consistent with other items in the purchased collection that were identified as being from Cambodia. It's the perfect size to store your earrings, rings, or other little treasures and the lid is tight fitting.. From the Washington, DC area estate of the Foreign Service Officer stationed in Cambodia and Vice Consul of Egypt.

Box is extremely plain and has no marks but is made in a pretty heavy gauge. Wood is very thin and not contributing significantly to weight. Condition is very good, but the wood is buckling a bit in the lid top and could be reglued. This has been acid tested positive for silver, but is unmaked.

Dimensions: 1.75" x 3" x 4.5".
