Monumental Philadelphia 1855-1860 Bailey & Co Coin Silver Chalice Form Wine Cooler or Vase (515 grams)

Museum quality antebellum American ca. 1850 solid coin silver vase made in Philadelphia, PA. This heavy gauge piece is best in class of 19th century Philadelphia silversmithing with rich hand chased embellishments. Fully and crisply hallmarked for 'Bailey & Co.', 'Chestnut St Phil', and 'lion, shield, and 'S' during the George Sharp era. Condition is basically mint with minor overall patina from age. No noticeable damage.

Dimensions are: 6” x 6” x 7”. Weight: 515 grams. Elegantly monogrammed 'JTE' in a period script (could be removed). Item is not weighted.
