Offered here is the Silver Repousse Hamam Bowl, Trabzon, Turkey, 19th Century. Of rounded form, with raised central bosse, the exterior with repeating design of pointed ovoid and coffin motifs and flowers, seemingly unmarked. A near identical Turkish bathing bowl sold at Christie's SALE 5495 Indian and Islamic Works of Art, London, South Kensington | 16 April 2010. A fascinating piece.
