1600-1660 English Sterling Silver Salisbury Type Seal Top Spoon (Possibly Arden of Sherborne) (31 g)

$900.00
At the time of this writing, I believe this late Renaissance early Baroque sterling silver seal top spoon may relate to Salisbury [West Country Spoons, Tim Kent Fig. 27, shown]. The seal is engraved with pinprick initials of a couple HB/TS, thus it may well have been a wedding gift. Marked possibly with initials over possibly a fleur de lis in the bowl. Condition is good, but with repairs at the bowl. Right handed bowl wear and the gauge of the bowl is light compared to the heavy stem and seal. Priced accordingly. Weight: 31 grams Length: 6 1/4" Check out some of my other sterling silver flatware here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=7399760 Pounce on this terrific set or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/DCSILVERSHOP
