1648 Charles I English Sterling Silver Seal Top Spoon by Stephen Venables of London

At the time of this writing, I believe this late Renaissance 1648 sterling silver London seal top spoon may be the earliest documented Stephen Venables spoon. Traces of gilding on the seal which is engraved: R M M M F Marked plainly for 'SV', lion passant, and the year mark letter 'e' in shield. Condition is good, but with an old repair at the joint between the stem and bowl. There is a partially struck leopard in the bowl. (London mark).
