1730-35 Erik Thomasen Danish Trencher Salt, Parcel Gilt Sterling Silver

A glorious Danish trencher salt from 1730-35 by Erik Thomasen of Horsens. Very nicely marked on the bottom. Engraved 'JSSK MCD 1712'. The salt is also parcel gilt and of a typical shape and proportions. The maker mark appears to be ET/S in an unusually shaped cartouche. Condition is very good with only slight patina. Recovered from a Virginia estate in 2022.
