Fabulous pair of James Gray scissor form sugar tongs made in London, England. Gray was a tong-maker working 1735-45 at Hoxon Square Coffee House, his J-pellet-G mark was entered in 1736. A beautiful pair in outstanding condition with seemingly no repair! Slight loosening at the hinge. Unmonogrammed. Marked at the inside of the grips with the IG mark only.
