1760-70 Peter de Riemer of New York Silver Colonial 18th Century Teaspoon

$900.00
A rare 1760-70 solid teaspoon by Peter de Riemer of New York monogrammed V / T*L. This spoon has all the classic characteristics, and is clearly marked with Riemer's 'PDR' in a rectangular cartouche. A nice medium gauge spoon. Upturned early terminal and elongated oval bowl. de Riemer's work is very difficult to find. A three piece tea set at the Met, a sauce boat is known to have existed. There is one additional teaspoon (Yale University Art Gallery) and a set of six teaspoons known, likely in museums.
