1760-70 Zachariah Brigden of Boston Feather Edge Coin Silver Teaspoon

$800.00
A small pre-revolutionary shellback coin silver feather edge teaspoon by heralded Boston maker, Zachariah Brigden, who was apprenticed to Thomas Edwards. Mark on this is Z.B in rectangular cartouche [Reference: Kane]. Monogrammed 'HH', owner unknown but possibly documented in his day book. His records, including the day book, now held at Yale University, indicate that his shop employed more than a dozen journeymen and apprentices, doing more business with repairs than in fabrication of new silver. Brigden is collected by the Museum of Fine Arts, Dartmouth College, Yale University, Winterthur Museum, and others. About 100 objects by Brigden are currently known (25 known teaspoons). Condition is good. Length: 5.25" Weight: 10 g Check out some of my other sterling silver here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=7399760 Pounce on this terrific set or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/DCSILVERSHOP
