A fine Georgian Dublin sterling silver teaspoon made in 1770 by the Irish silversmith Michael Keating. This elegant example features a beautifully detailed feather edge border, a refined decorative style associated with high-quality 18th-century Irish silver. The reverse of the handle bears an engraved armorial crest depicting a hand holding a cross, now partially erased with time, preserving a subtle trace of its original heraldic history. Measuring just over 6.5 inches in length and weighing 24 grams, this teaspoon has excellent proportions and a pleasing weight for its size. It remains in very good antique condition with an attractive patina and surface character consistent with more than two centuries of use.
