Rare Peter Kirkwood coin silver teaspoon pair. Period monogram of 'H' at the terminal. Beautifully decorated with bright cut engraving down the stem. Stamped perfectly for Kirkwood with a 'PK' in a rectangular cartouche. Made ca. 1790-1800 in either Annapolis or Chestertown. Recently recovered from Havre de Grace, MD. Marks are clean and well struck. Chesapeake silver of this period is very hard to find.
Condition is good but not perfect. Some small dings in the bowls and small ripples in the stems. These areas could be smoothed out for the purposes of conservation by your silversmith.
