1800's British Pewter Pint Tankard by Grimes

$110.00
A delightful pewter mug made ca 1850 by Jamaica Street pewterer F J Ruse. This is a standard pint (stamped PINT) size fully hallmarked for London, England (Crown, VR 349 LCC). Overall, this is a beautiful piece and a rare form. Lots of age related bumps and dings, and a grey velvet patina. I have left the finish in "as found" condition. And by as found I mean as found in the estate sale of the legendary DC mansion "Evermay"! If it's good enough for Evermay, believe me, it's good enough for you. Check out some of my other antiques here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783279 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
