A fine Georgian Dublin sterling silver teaspoon made in 1801 by the distinguished Irish silversmith John Stoyte. This elegant example displays the refined proportions and understated styling characteristic of early 19th-century Irish flatware. The reverse of the handle is engraved with an armorial crest depicting a boar's head erased, a traditional heraldic device symbolizing courage and hospitality. Measuring 6.5 inches in length and weighing a substantial 28 grams, this teaspoon has an excellent gauge and a pleasing balance in the hand. It remains in very good antique condition with a rich mellow patina and light wear consistent with more than two centuries of careful use.
