1808 Irish Sterling Silver Large Tablespoon by Thomas Townsend of Dublin

$180.00
A large Irish Tablespoon from Dublin, Ireland by well-respected maker, Thomas Townsend, 1818. Nicely hallmarked with Irish hallmark, Dublin city mark, 1818, and TT. All the hallmarks are very clear and crisp. Overall, the design of these spoons typifies the Irish pieces of this era. Simple, clean lines and sturdy nimble construction. Engraved with a worn cursive monogram. Moderate bowl wear from right handed use and a couple of dints to the bowl as you would expect from a two century+ old spoon. The bowl could possibly be reworked. Weight: 73 grams Length: 9.25" Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
