Stunning antique French sterling silver heavy and Large matching fork and tablespoon, by the master-silversmith JT. V. Dutrevis of Paris, made c. 1819-38 in Paris. Fiddle thread pattern with a classic French profile and a very heavy gauge. Guarantee mark for Paris 1818-1839 : Michel-Ange (or vieillard) 950/1000, bigorne mark on the front, and some older personalizations. Weight is 171 grams. 8 1/8" (fork). Rare maker.
