1820 Pair of German Pewter 9.25" Plates Dated (Block Zinn, Angel Marks, Scalloped Rims)
$65.00
An attractive matching pair of German pewter plates, dated 1820, each bearing the Block Zinn stamp and angel mark. Dating to the early 19th century, these plates are fine examples of German pewter craftsmanship from the period.
Each plate measures 9.25 inches in diameter and features a beautifully scalloped rim that lends an elegant, decorative profile to the otherwise restrained form. Both examples are identically marked, confirming their matching character and making them particularly desirable as a pair.
The plates are in excellent condition, with no notable damage or repairs. Their well-preserved surfaces, crisp profiles, and matching marks make this a pleasing and increasingly uncommon survival of early 19th-century German domestic pewter.
