1825-1829 Picture Back Fiddle Pattern Coin Silver Teaspoon by NYC Smiths Royce & Jones

$78.00
Offered here, a ca. 1825-29 New York City coin silver fiddleback teaspoon faintly engraved with a monogram in the sheaf of wheat pattern. This spoon was hand made in the 19th century of sterling silver. Spoon is to be considered a picture back with a nice decoration between the handle and the bowl on obverse. Reverse is stamped "R & I". Condition is good with minor patina and surface scratching typical of a piece of this age. Strong in all the right places and great lines! Would make an especially fine gift! Dimensions: 6" and about 20.8 grams. From a North Carolina estate. Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
