1825-34 Christopher Giffing / J. W. Forbes Fiddle Pattern Coin Silver Teaspoon of NYC

$40.00
A fascinating teaspoon that carries a dead match to the Christopher Giffing 'CG' mark of NYC [Reference: Belden]. This piece also carries the psedomarks, die version 1 of Anchor-Star-Bust that is attributed to J W Forbes / Maltby Pelletreau [Reference: McGrew]. Monogrammed in an early style script as 'JC'. Condition is good and it is a medium gauge teaspoon. Rare and interesting New York marks that have not been characterized elsewhere. An interesting one. Dimensions: 6" and about 24 grams. Check out some of my other sterling silver flatware here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=7399760 Or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
