1825 David Nash Tablespoon Saugatuck, CT Coin Silver

$450.00
An 1825 coin silver tablespoon by David Nash of Saugatuck, CT monogrammed in period script for 'TBH'. Nice early provincial Connecticut coin silver tablespoon. 53 grams. About 9 1/8" long. Marked on the obverse for "D Nash". This spoon is moderate gauge. This spoon is rare and appears to be the only known piece with the mark of David Nash. Nash was a known Methodist, a jeweler, watchmaker, and carried silver. It is entirely possible that his was made in New York and marked by Nash as the retailer Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
