1830-35 William Buckingham Canfield Baltimore Coin Silver Tablespoon

$180.00
Very scarce William Buckingham Canfield Baltimore coin silver tablespoon (seemingly the only known piece of silver with this early Canfield mark). Stamped for maker, Canfield with a plain rectangular cartouche, a star, and the Balitimore post-1830 assay mark. We know that Canfield entered into partnership in 1835, so the date window on this tablespoon appears specific. No other known examples of this mark have been identified. Approximately 45 grams and 9". Made ca. 1830-35. With a monogram in period script "MRL" Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
