A matching set of six c. 1830-35 teaspoons made by Henry Silverthorn probably made in Baltimore or Lynchburg. Condition is very good with the patina you expect from age and careful use (one spoon with a series of pinpricks in the bowl). Monogrammed with 'B' in a period script. A very nice clean mark on all spoons for 'SILVERTHORN' with virtually no wear to the marks. Sharp and rare! Reference: Hollan, Virginia and West Virginia Silversmiths. Dimensions: 5.25" Weight: 81 grams.
