1841 Charles Reily & George Storer Wine Ewer after Benvenuto Cellini

$8,000.00
An 1841 sterling silver parcel gilt wine ewer by Charles Reily & George Storer after Benvenuto Cellini (1500-1571). No losses for this exceptional ewer that is Decorated with leaping stags, lions, masks, gamebirds, rams, olive laurels, and with the figural handle of a buxom maiden. While this silversmithing duo started to specialize in smaller pieces as their later marks are found mainly on high quality snuff boxes and other smaller items, this piece clearly breaks that mold. Made in a beautiful and heavy gauge of silver and weighing over 1100 grams. Absolute showstopper. Watch. Their. Jaws Drop. Check out some of my other English sterling silver holloware here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=shop_sugg§ion_id=6409956 Or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
