Outstanding example of the fine quality of American (Illinois) silversmithing. This rare mustard fiddle spoon is hand forged with a traditional profile of light gauge silver. The hallmarks are, A.S. Devondorf, Pure Coin, and a five pointed star. This particular hallmark with a star instead of a bust is rare. Overall condition is good with typical minor wear from use as shown. No notable damage given 200+ years of use. 9 grams. 5" in length.
