1853-1893 Dutch Silver Mounted Dagger with Sharkskin Green Shagreen Sheath

$650.00
This Circa 1860 probably Hoorn, Netherlands stunning knife was likely a personal eating utensil meant for travel or in the field. It is richly adorned with goddesses and birds, and a dog finial. The silver chape and throat are also neatly engraved with flowers. The sheath is a gorgeous sage green and in great condition. All of the silver parts are marked. The steel blade also marked with symbols-- not known to me. Condition is very good on this rare knife. The very tip of the point of the steel blade is absent. 8.5" [Reference: Dutch Klein Silver p 164] Price is firm. Please see other mixed silver hollowware here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
