Scarce 1864 Gorham Medallion pattern teaspoon set of twenty (20) with medallion portraits from the era of the American Civil War. Marked clearly for Gorham (lion, anchor, G), STERLING, PAT. 1864, and retailer M. W. Galt & Bro. (District of Columbia). Extremely elegant with good gilding on the bowls. These are personalized for 'C' in an attractive period script. Condition is very good with slight gilding losses. The set will not be split.
