Gorgeous sterling silver server. The business end has deep repousse in a classical fruit, flower motif, is gilded and has a small repair at the drop. Mock barley twist handle and a heavy cast terminal with portraits and Baroque scrolls. Marked merely "STERLING". Monogrammed on reverse 'AS' in a late 19th century cursive script. Total weight is 66 grams and about 7.5+" in length. 'STERLING' stamped on the stem. Condition is very good with patina and sold as is. Due to she slight weakness of the cast details, I suspect this server is a cast American reproduction of a possibly German or Dutch original design.
