An exceptional and rare set of solid silver large matching dinner forks (five) by Hendery & Leslie, silversmiths to 19th century retailers, Henry Birks & Co. of Montréal, Québec, Canada. These are rare and represent the earliest marks of Birks before they became a ubiquitous brand of Canadian silver. Monogrammed in period script for 'FH'. Condition is excellent. One with a deep notch on the back where a dealer tested for silver content.
