1885 Silver Plate Homeric Medallion Brooch

Offered here is a heavy and substantial silver plated brooch in superb condition in the style of Shiebler. These pieces are rare, particularly at this large size. Condition is excellent with only the lightest of plating wear as shown. A nice patina accented with only gentlest hand polish to accentuate the intended contrast. Unmarked save for an inscription scratched almost imperceptibly into the back that says, 'BOSTON 11-5-1895". Pin is very likely a replacement.
1.75" height and 2.5" wide.
