A distinct and large 1887 sterling silver gravy ladle by Gorham in the Sheaf of Wheat pattern made in Providence since 1887. The bowl deep and wide and parcel gilt. Nicely stamped on the handle for 'Gorham.' 'STERLING' etc. Very heavy gauge, but entirely elegant. Condition is near flawless with a beautiful patina and light surface scratches. Monogrammed ('JRH') in a fancy period script.
