Offered here is a best-in-show George W. Shiebler Bat and Moon Homeric sterling silver brooch in superb condition. These pieces are rare, particularly at this very large size. Condition is excellent with only the lightest of surface scratches as shown. A nice patina was accented with only gentlest hand polish to accentuate the intended contrast for example in the hand hammered craters of the crescent moon. Stamped for Shiebler and '5701'. 2" height and 4" length.
