1900–1915 Antique Arts & Crafts Neo-Gothic Iron and Slag Glass Pendant Lamp Pair
$350.00
A pair of antique Arts & Crafts pendant lamps featuring sculptural iron strapping with decorative Neo-Gothic terminals and curved panels of marbled slag glass in cream, and caramel tones. The glass has a softly undulating surface, with richly variegated coloration characteristic of turn-of-the-century decorative lighting.
The iron framework combines ornamental rivet detailing with mechanically fastened construction, while triangular iron suspension rings provide a distinctive finishing touch. The restrained medievalizing design and substantial ironwork make these appealing architectural fixtures for an Arts & Crafts interior, historic property, or considered restoration project. These would be amazing flanking a front entrance of a home.
Unmarked. The ironwork retains a pleasing, naturally developed patina from years outside, with darkened surfaces and evidence of age throughout. The lamps have not been restored or refinished, preserving their aged character.
The fixtures require rewiring before installation and are offered as restoration projects for the buyer's own hanging-light application. The circa 1900–1915 dating is an estimate based on style and construction.
Dimensions: Approximately 9" tall, excluding the swinging triangular iron suspension rings; 7.75" diameter at the shade opening.
Sold as a pair.
