This 1908 Woolley of Boston silver mug was recently recovered from an old Boston family estate. Classic baluster form with a double scroll scroll acanthus handle a pedestal foot and an overall traditional rendition of an 18th century style cup. Gorgeous and timeless lines. Nicely marked Woolley Sterling and engraved Eleanor Hathaway Clark. Woolley is collected by the Met Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art. I found the cup in Denver. Eleanor Hathaway Clark was born in Massachusetts and was the spouse of Elton Clark, Sr. She was probably a descendant of Alexander Hamilton. Condition is Excellent. Weight is 189 grams.
