1910-1920 Benares Ware Brass and Enamel Indian Jewelry Casket or Box - Tiger Hunt Scene

$230.00
Stunning 1910-1920 Indian Benares ware enamel and brass jewelry box featuring tiger hunt scenes on the lid. Heavy box with a perfectly fitting lid and a beautiful faded green velvet lining. Everything in great shape with some losses to nickel plating and some evidence of corrosion to the brass which I have not polished off because the box has an overall great patina and look. These Indian boxes were hand-engraved and enameled in the early 20th century and very finely engraved at that Price is firm. Check out some of my other antiques here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783279 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
