Terrific footed bowl by Benedict Karnak Brass, ca. 1920, with Egyptian Revival and Eastern Mysticism motifs. This impressive piece measures 4.5" high by 11" wide and showcases the bold, intricate design work that made the Karnak line so distinctive. The bowl displays expected wear consistent with age, including areas of patina and light brass plate loss, all of which enhance its period character. The footed base gives the piece an elevated presence, making it ideal as a centerpiece or display vessel.
Benedict, based in East Syracuse, New York, introduced the Karnak line in their 1911 catalogue of silver-plated wares and metal goods, drawing inspiration from the era’s fascination with Egyptology and mysticism. Pieces of this size and style are uncommon on the market today.
Condition is good, but there are a couple of battle scars especially at the rims and metal surface, and heavy wear to the interior.
Dimensions: 5.75” tall and 3” across the cup.
