19th Century Locking Steel Strong Box with Key

$190.00
A very solid steel faux-painted strongbox. Has 19th century numbers engraved on the inside. Lock is solid, key works great. Some wear to the key, and great patina on the box. Dimensions of 3” x 6” x 8” makes it a great portable size. Use it for a piggy bank or for storing valuables. Feels very secure and of a heavy gauge. High quality piece in a hard to find size. Slight bends to the lock mechanism and lid where it may have been forced, but no serious damage. Acquired in Maryland. Was probably lacquered in the last few decades. Chippy. Check out some of my other antiques here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783279 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
