Recovered from Maine, this is a small wood burlwood box that features an inset painting beneath glass of a castle with a couple in the courtyard facing it. The bottom is felted. The painting appears hand completed and shows clear brush strokes (not a print) but is not signed or attributed. Could be Scotland.
