There was a time when you could pick Wyoming jade stones up from the surface of the ground. That time was the 1930's. Offered here is a green Wyoming jade slab for cutting rough waiting for you to finish for your next project. You will receive the exact stone shown in the photos. Located and shipped from the United States. Beautiful material appears to be between apple and olive. Very clean and consistent material with a tight crystal pattern and a nice thick fat mutton fat-colored cap. This is old stock sourced from one of the original Montana lapidary sources-- Rhoads Manufacturing of Lander, Wyoming (Bert Rhoads collected). Original label included. Located in an old California collection. About 3" x 4" x 5" and a very consistently shaped block with less tapering than most. Note the lichen remains which show this was an early surface find.
