C. 1740-50 English Sterling Silver Sugar Tea Tongs by ?C of London

A lovely pair of scissor form sugar tongs in the popular ornate style that peaked in the 1750-70 decades in England. Nice quatrefoil design and with truncated pear handle. A beautiful pair in outstanding condition! Marked at the outsides of the handles with the partial '?C' mark. Also engraved with the initials A and K. Scallop form . Heavy at 43.2 grams, 5".
