Set of four American coin silver wavy fiddle teaspoons by Duhme of Cincinnati, Ohio, dating to circa mid-19th century. The spoons are engraved in period cursive with the monogram “SH,” consistent with a single household ownership group shared across multiple Cincinnati and Indianapolis silver purchases within the same service accumulation. Each piece is marked with Duhme’s characteristic maker’s mark, reflecting the output of one of Cincinnati’s better-regarded mid-century retail silversmithing and jewelry firms. Duhme silver is associated with higher-quality Cincinnati production during the city’s peak period as a regional center for coin silver manufacturing and retail distribution.
