c. 1930 Framed 1930s C. Bennette Moore Photograph of Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral

$600.00
A scarce image by widely acclaimed New Orleans photographer, C. Bennette Moore. Moore's work of New Orleans was sold from his studio on Royal Street. Believe this photo to have been produced around 1930 or so and hand colorized. In the foreground are the gates of Jackson Square with a stand of banana palms nearly as tall as the elegant gas lamps. Almost misty in the background are the spires of the St. Louis Cathedral. It's an iconic shot of the very beating heart of New Orleans, and I can't find another example of this image anywhere. Priced to sell and price is firm. Also collected by Harvard Art Museums Dimensions of frame: 7.5" x 9.5". Visible dimensions of photograph about: 4.75” x 6.75”. Condition: Very good and wall ready. Check out some fine art: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=shop_sugg§ion_id=14973859 For other wondrous treasures, wander around the shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
